Physical Features of South Africa
In term 2, we look at the physical features of South Africa, by viewing the various places, such as, the escarpment or the coastal plains. Within these areas we have a look at the mountains, rivers and other local attractions, and investigate how some of them go their names. Lastly we look at physical features and human activities that take place in these areas and how they change the landscape.
Grade 5 Map Skills
In term 1, we learn about the world map and compass directions, we then look at our African continent, as well as a physical map of Africa, which includes images of interesting rivers, lakes and mountains.
